This is a working preview of a new Amberlights website, built from the words and photos already on amberlights.co.uk. Nothing here is live yet.
Try the seven designs
Use the bar at the bottom of every page to switch between seven looks — on a phone, tap the coloured circles. Every page works in all of them — it’s the same site in different clothes.
- A · Lit Room — a near-black room where the lamps and installations are the light.
- B · Gallery — warm, light walls like a gallery, with dark sections for the night-time work.
- C · Dusk — deep indigo and soft gold, rounder and softer.
- D · Sage — pale sage-green walls and olive accents, calm and natural, with soft rounded corners.
- E · Gold Leaf — deep forest green and gilded gold, crisp square edges, echoing the gold-leaf workshops.
- F · Blush — soft rose-plaster walls with a deep raspberry accent and gentle italic headings.
- G · Night Sea — dark blue-teal with a bright aqua accent taken from the colours in her light work.
What works
- Every page, every lamp, the workshop dates, the journal and the policies.
- The basket — add lamps and workshop places, change quantities, remove things. It remembers what you added.
What is switched off
- Checkout. No payment can be taken. Pressing Checkout explains this.
- Forms (contact, enquiries, newsletter). They don’t send anything yet.
Words and photos
All the writing is Amber’s own, taken from her current website. Long repeated passages that appeared on every lamp in a collection now sit once on that collection’s page. Nothing has been deleted — the full record of where everything went is kept with the project.
