Prism Sensory Lamps

Sacred geometry series.

Prism is my series of Sacred geometry inspired collections of lamps. The concept of sacred geometry is often associated with the belief that geometry has a spiritual or religious meaning. The ancient Greeks saw geometry as the language of the divine. Today, many people still find meaning in the shapes and patterns found in the world around them. They inspire my work and designs.

I find spiritual meaning in most patterns I work with, particularly when immersed in nature. The spiral of a snail’s shell, the captivating pattern of a single snowflake, and the branches of a tree can all be examples of sacred geometry.

“My lamps are designed to encourage people to interact with their environment differently, using sensory lighting to create an immersive experience.”

Sensory lighting design

Sensory lighting can create a tranquil, soothing environment that promotes comfort and relaxation. It can also stimulate a person’s senses and enhance their enjoyment of a space. By using various lighting techniques, including soft, indirect light, light patterns, and colour waves, it is possible to create a variety of atmospheres that provide a range of sensory experiences.

“As lighting designers, we constantly explore how light can transform a space. We use light to create atmosphere, add drama, or make a space more functional. One of the most critical aspects is understanding how light behaves and produces different effects”.

Research indicates that sensory lighting can offer many benefits to our health. For example, one study found that sensory lighting can help to reduce anxiety and stress, and another showed that it could be used to lift moods. Sensory lighting can also be used to provide sensory input, which can be beneficial for people with sensory processing disorders.

The calming, relaxing effect of sensory lighting can also help to improve sleep quality. In addition, sensory lighting can increase focus and concentration and boost energy levels. Ultimately, sensory lighting offers a quick, tangible way to enjoy the many benefits of light therapy.
